Nehalem Pack 39 A Mate's Forgiveness

A MateHello! Its insane how fast this year has gone by. Its as if I blink and my kids are taller and its gone from summer to winter. Insane!!!

The Nehalem Pack saga continues with book 39! I can't believe we're on book 39!!!!
A Mate's Forgiveness is Lucas and Bane's story. Lucas was introduced into this series as a baby. Well he's all grown up now and looking to stake his claim on his mate. A mate who isn't quite human nor a shifter.

I love the character of Bane. He's had a rough introduction into the shifter world and anyone would be able to relate to his fear and hatred toward shifters. But the connection he shares with Lucas makes his question everything he thought he knew.

I love stories like this! Two characters kept apart by circumstances. They must fight for what they want and hope they can make it out a live to see another day.

A Mate's Forgiveness will release on January 5! Hope you guys will enjoy!

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday season and happy reading!!!!

Release Updates!

I really can’t believe I haven’t posted a blog since SEPTEMBER! That's like forever ago.

I've been keeping myself busy. Between writing and family there’s little time for anything else. And now that we're coming upon summer I'm going to be super busy with all my kids’ stuff. The joys of parenthood. I love them but they keep my husband and me running around like chickens with our heads cut off and never going in the same direction.

On to writing news! I have three books coming out within the next 5 weeks. Here's the list:

Book 20 Nehalem Pack, A Wolf's Atonement April 2 (Paranormal)
This will be Tenny and Jordan’s book. These characters were introduced in book 19, The Teacher and His Wolf. Tenny is Knox's younger brother who ran away from home only to end up becoming a prostitute. That right there is why this title is under the Love Edge category. I will say this I do not make a lot of references to his past work as a hooker. This story focuses more on that fact that Tenny abandoned his family not what he did once he was away from them. There are parts that made my own damn eyes tear up.

A WolfBlurb:
Tenny Farrell has made his fair share of mistakes in his young life. Regret has become a good friend of his and now that he’s in Silver Creek, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make amends for his past sins, but his family isn’t making it easy on him.

The last thing Tenny needs is one more complication to deal with, but that’s exactly what he gets when he meet Jordan Campbell. The man is everything Tenny’s ever wanted, but not knowing how Jordan will react to who he is, Tenny lies. He just needs a little time to figure everything out.

The truth always has a way of coming out and Tenny’s world comes crashing down around him when all the half-truths he’s told are exposed. Nothing is ever as it seems, and Tenny is discovering some things in life are worth fighting for. He just has to pray it’s enough to grant him forgiveness.

Book 12 The Warriors of the Light, Julian's Forever April 18 (Paranormal)
This is Julian's and Daniel’s book. Julian is Damon’s half-brother and was introduced in book 11, Damon's Determined Wolf. Daniel is a human who is searching for the person responsible for murdering his best friend. Daniel is going through some of his own personal issues but I don’t want to give too much away!

Julian's ForeverBlurb:
Daniel Young is battling terminal cancer and using what time he has left to find answers to who killed his best friend no matter what danger it puts him in. With nothing left to live for what does Daniel have to lose?

Julian Salva joined the Warriors of the Light to help put a stop to the evil trying to take over the world and to find his nephew. Never in a million years did he expect to meet a fearless human on his latest mission. The man infuriates Julian with his lack of caution and inability to follow an order. For reasons unknown to Julian he’s falling for the human, if only Daniel was his mate.

Nothing is ever as it seems but there’s no time to find out all the answers. With Daniel’s life hanging in the balance Julian will risk everything for a man he barely knows.  Julian prays that this time, time is on his side.

Book 2 A Forever Home, Safe in HIs Arms May 2 (Contemporary)
This series gets neglected a lot but I really love the characters within this series and I also have a lot of plans for this series. Safe in His Arms is E and Sam's story. A lot of tension and frustration is in this story. Which I did on purpose. What’s a good love story without a little struggle and give and take??

Blurb:
A chance encounter six months ago has changed Elliot Nolan’s life forever. It was only supposed to be one night of great sex, nothing more but once Officer Sam Lancaster steps back into his life, Elliott doesn’t know what to do. He’s suffered abuse from a man who claimed to love him before and allowing someone so close again is a fear Elliot’s not sure he can ever overcome.

All Sam wants to do is fall in love and settle down. Is that so much to ask for? Apparently when it comes to Elliot it is. Sam tries to be just friends with Elliot but that is proving to be a lot easier said than done.

People come in and out of your life for a reason and Elliot is starting to see that maybe Sam’s worth the risk. A lifetime alone is a safe option but living without Sam is something Elliot isn’t sure he can do.

I just finished Nehalem Pack 21. I'm still working on a title for that one! I will admit I did something a little different in this story and I hope the readers will enjoy it.

Hope everyone has an excellent week and happy reading!!!

Today's Guest: Jamie Lake

Today I am lucky to have Gay Romance Author Jamie Lake as my guest. He's discussing his Bad Boy series so please sit back, relax and enjoy Jamie Lake!

For those who aren’t familiar with the Bad Boy series, tell us about it.
It’s the story of a really hot teacher who becomes desperate for money when his hours are cut and the only choice he has is to moonlight as an erotic masseuse for men. The problem is, he has to keep is profession a secret from the school and it’s right when he meets the guy of his dreams, who happens to be not only one of his student’s dads but also a cop.

If you could be any of your characters in Bad Boy for a day, who would you choose and why?
I’d say Chip cause he’s so hot. I’d touch myself all day. Haha. And also cause he’s a parent and I’d love to be a dad one day soon. I think I’d love a daughter but I’m open to whatever God blesses me with.

How long did it take you to write Bad Boy?
The first Bad Boy book, I think might have taken me a few weeks. I can write a book in a week or less but by the time it goes through editing and copy editing, it can take a few weeks, sometimes longer.

How do you plan your writing day?
Well, I get up first thing in the morning and after taking a leak and walking the dogs and procrastinating, I’ll try to write in 20 minute sessions. I usually, that early in the morning, manage to do a couple of sessions before I take my morning nap and then I wake up and try write at least until 3pm with those 20 minute sessions. If I have any drive left after that, I try to write more. I go to bed between 7:30pm-10pm every night but I always get up at 4am either way. Sometimes I’ll watch a TV show on Amazon Prime before I go to bed.

Writing so many different series from The Trainer, Boyfriend for Rent, Marked for Love, Stay Always and Bad Boy, do you ever get the characters mixed up?
No, because I focus on just one book series at a time. I could juggle two probably, like write one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, but I prefer not.

What m/m books other than your own do you recommend people to read?
I’m a big fan of what Kindle Alexander and River James are doing. And I love Sara York. They’re all awesome people.

What are some of the biggest misconceptions that you think people who don’t read m/m have about the genre?
Many people assume the books are all about sex and that seems to be the consensus of what a lot of people think about gay relationships. They are so focused on the sex part, they don’t stop to think about the relationship. Many of my straight male friends talk about the exact same relationship problems with their girlfriends that I’ve experienced with my boyfriends.

Where can we get a copy of Bad Boy? You can get it exclusively on Amazon http://bit.ly/BADBOYNOVEL1  or email me at JamieLakeNovels AT gmail.

Blurb
Peter never thought things would get so tough that he’d need to give out sensual massages in secret in order to make ends meet. He’s a kindergarten teacher and a good one who loves his job. But being a sensual masseuse by night, hot as it may be, is not exactly his dream. All he wants is a nice quiet life and the love of a great guy, a family, and someone who will love him from the heart and accept him without judgment. But when the school slashes his hours in half and no other jobs are available, the opportunity to give sensual massages to men under a secret name seems like the best way out of his current situation at least for now.

Chip is a tough, macho, blue collar, police detective whose ex has just died. He is also a dedicated loving single father to a 5-year-old son. In a town like Las Vegas, he thinks he’ll never meet anyone who is ready to start a family. He has had his fair share of flakes and liars in his life but when he finally met his son’s favorite kindergarten teacher, probably the hottest guy he’d seen in years, his hope is lifted. He just knows, this is the one. Has he finally met someone who is honest and won’t hide things from him?

For Peter, what he thinks will be a onetime thing turns into a booming business giving sensual massages at night. Meeting Chip seems like the welcome change he needs in his life. He is by far, everything he could ever ask for in a man but it’s not exactly the best time in his life to meet someone. But if Peter doesn’t jump at the chance to be with Chip, could he be missing out on the one he’s been waiting for?

Peter promises himself he’ll only do the sensual massages in secret just until he gets caught up on his bills. Then, he’ll quit. But what will the school where he works say if they find out what Peter is doing on the side and what is worse, what will Detective Chip say when he finds out his dream guy has been a very bad boy?

What will Chip say if he finds out what Peter is doing on the side? And, what’s worse, what will the school say when they find out this teacher has been a very bad boy?

Today's Guest: Julie Lynn Hayes

Today's guest is Julie Lynn Hayes. She's an amazing author and she always has super fun post! Here's a peak into her latest release Yes, He's My Ex. Now available at Dreamspinner Press!!

Since this is the time of year when most people are thinking about doing their taxes, it made sense to me to interview someone who knows about accounting stuff. Can’t hurt, right? Should be of general interest.

Why is it that things just never work out the way you think they will? Maybe it’s just me.

A friend of mine named Aly suggested that I talk to a friend of hers for my interview. He’s in the business, and he’s a nice guy. Okay, I think, that works for me. So I gather my voice recorder, bring along a notebook, just in case, and head to the address she gave me. She’s already talked to Tim, and he’s agreed to see me.

He opens the door right after I knock and welcomes me.

“Tim Mansfield?” I ask, just to make sure I’m in the right place.

“That’s me. You must be Julie. Aly said you were coming.” He shows me inside. His apartment is small, but nicely kept, especially for a bachelor. Aly made a point of telling me he’s not married, but she also warned me he plays for the other team. Story of my life, right? He is cute, too, curse my luck, with short red hair and pretty blue eyes.

“Can I get you something to drink?”

“Water’s fine,” I assure him. He waves me to the comfortable looking couch, then joins me there a few moments later, with a bottle of cold water from the fridge.

“Mind if I use this?” I hold up the voice recorder that I’ve borrowed from Sarah and he nods.

“So, tax season, busy time of year, isn’t it?”

“Absolutely, Julie,” he agrees, taking a seat beside me. “But you have no idea how much prep work actually goes into a successful—”

A successful what I wonder as his train of thought is derailed by the sudden, and obviously unexpected, opening of the door to the apartment. In waltzes another cute young man, with chocolate hair, and eyes so dark blue they almost seem purple, wire-rimmed glasses and a big grin on his rather sensual lips.

I look to Tim for a cue. Aly said he’s single, so not the boyfriend. Neighbor, maybe? One who has the right of entry whenever he pleases?

Oh oh, Tim doesn’t look pleased. Erase that thought.

“Sonny!” he expostulates, and the brunet grins even wider.

“Yep, you got my name right. Good job, Tim-tim!”

My eyebrows raise. Tim-tim?

“Don’t ask,” Tim groans, his attention fixed on the newcomer.  “I knew I should have locked that stupid door.”

“Why?” Sonny asks before he turns to me and holds out his hand. “Hi. My name’s Sonny Scrignoli. Pleased to meet you.”

Well, isn’t he sweet? I take his hand and shake it. “Hi Sonny, my name’s Julie.”

“Oh, you must be the lady Aly told me about.” He flops down on the couch so close to Tim he’s almost in his lap. “She said you’re interviewing him about tax stuff. He knows lots about that, he’ll be very interesting for your readers,” he says with confidence.

I notice that Tim’s face is rather red, but he hasn’t removed the hand that Sonny has casually laid on his leg.

I wonder...

“Is this your boyfriend?” I ask Tim, and watch the hue of his skin turn even redder.

“No, he’s my frigging ex. Pardon my language.” He turns to the young man beside him. “Sonny, don’t you have something to do?”

“Nope,” Sonny says rather ingenuously, and I notice he cuddles even closer to Tim. How cute! “I’m all yours, Tim-tim.”

Huh, mixed signals here, methinks.

“No, you’re not!” Tim’s voice is starting to get shrill. Oh dear, things might just get ugly. Maybe discretion is the better part of valor.

I very carefully rise from the couch. “You know what? I think you two might need some alone time.” I hold up one hand as Tim starts to protest. “No need to thank me, just call me when there’s a better time, okay? Nice to meet you. Both of you.”

“You too, Miss Julie.” Sonny has the cutest smile. Oh my, they’re a cute couple. Time for me to go. I make my quick escape, and close the door softly behind me, just as I hear Tim exclaim, “Sonny, have you forgotten again? You’re my ex!”

Well, that’s all for now, I’ll let you know how it goes later. I hope they’ll be okay!

Blurb:

Sometimes Sonny Scrignoli forgets he’s Tim Mansfield’s ex. He waltzes in and out of Tim’s apartment like he still lives there, driving Tim crazy. Is it really so hard to remember they’ve broken up? Then again, maybe Tim should quit having sex with him.

When Sonny disappears for two weeks, Tim can’t help but be concerned. A strange phone call and a mysterious cry for help leads Tim on a desperate search for his ex.

Sonny’s in big trouble, and it’s Tim to the rescue! He’s the only one who can save his ex from a fate worse than death. Bumbling gangsters, a thick-headed former boyfriend, and secretive FBI agents lead Tim and Sonny on a merry chase full of laughs and quirks.

Excerpt:

Sonny’s real name is Mario, but he’s been called Sonny since he was a small bambino, as his mother puts it, so Sonny it is. Sonny stands almost six foot tall in his bare feet, which are surprisingly small for a man, almost dainty. He has chocolate brown hair that grows thick but not long, and generally looks tousled; blue eyes so dark that sometimes they look purple in the proper light, framed behind silver wire spectacles; a generous nose and wide sweet lips which have been known to give the most amazing head this side of anywhere. Put that with the body of an Adonis, and you have Sonny.
I had Sonny, but not anymore. He seems not to realize that, though. At least not most of the time. Hence the part where I see him more often than should be considered normal for someone who’s my ex. Which is where I began.
Sometimes I think he forgets that he has indeed attained that past participle ex-boyfriend status. Granted, it’s only been six months. His mother tells me he just needs time to adjust, please don’t be too hard on her boy. Yes, I still see her too. On a rather regular basis, in fact. Hard not to, when she’s my mother’s best friend. Lucky me. Lia’s a nice lady, I love her to death. But she has this deep-seated belief that Sonny and I are going to get back together again, a belief he seems to share. Along with my mother. And most of our friends.
No one seems to listen to me when I say snowballs rolling along the floor of Hell have a better chance of survival than our relationship. Least of all Sonny. I guess that’s why he keeps coming over here, because in some strange deranged naïve corner of his mind, there’s still an us, and he isn’t an ex. So he wanders over whenever he wants. Sometimes he calls, sometimes he doesn’t. Today he called.
Sometimes I just get tired of telling him no. Some days I don’t even get that far. Today, I didn’t want to waste my breath, so I just said, “Fine. As long as you promise to behave.”
By behave, I mean quit assuming we’re going to have sex. Even if sometimes we do. I know, I know, he’s my ex, right?
Sometimes I just don’t know where to draw that fine line, I think. No wonder the boy’s confused.

Meet the author:

Julie Lynn Hayes was reading at the age of two and writing by the age of nine and always wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Two marriages, five children, and more than forty years later, that is still her dream. She blames her younger daughters for introducing her to yaoi and the world of M/M love, a world which has captured her imagination and her heart and fueled her writing in ways she'd never dreamed of before. She especially loves stories of two men finding true love and happiness in one another's arms and is a great believer in the happily ever after. She lives in St. Louis with her daughter Sarah and two cats, loves books and movies, and hopes to be a world traveler some day. She enjoys crafts, such as crocheting and cross stitch, knitting and needlepoint and loves to cook. While working a temporary day job, she continues to write her books and stories and reviews, which she posts in various places on the internet. Her family thinks she is a bit off, but she doesn't mind. Marching to the beat of one's own drummer is a good thing, after all.  Her published works can be found at Dreamspinner Press, Amber Quill Press, MuseitUp Publishing, Torquere Press, and eXtasy Books, and coming soon to Wayward Ink Publishing and Prizm Publishing. She has also begun to self-publish and is an editor at MuseitUp.

STORY EXCERPT

“With the mating bond, we can’t be without each other for too long. So I’ll have to go with you.” The hand Abner had on Carter’s neck fell away.

Motherfucker! Carter’s face scrunched up in anger. Of course the only reason Abner would offer to go was because they were mates and craved each other’s touch. Not because they were in love and couldn’t stand to be apart.

“Please don’t do me any favors.” Carter took a step away from Abner. “After all, god gave us two hands.” He raised his hands and wiggled his fingers around. “We should just start using them and save the trouble of having to be around one another.” Carter looked at Klaus. “I’ll be ready in an hour.”

Carter turned on his heel and headed up the stairs. He needed to pack his belongings. There was no telling when or if he’d be back. Part of him did want to come back, but there was another part that didn’t. Having to see Abner day in, day out, and the look of disappointment in his sky-blue eyes, was becoming harder and harder to bear. Maybe he could ask Carlos to concoct a potion for him to sever the bonding link between him and Abner. He was sick of punishing himself and making Abner suffer. A clean break could be exactly what they needed.

After he packed his suitcase and backpack, Carter went in search of his friends to say good-bye. He stopped by Ben and Miles’s room first. Miles was exhausted but managed to give him a hug and told him to hurry back. Carter just smiled but didn’t say anything else. They didn’t need him here and he didn’t want to upset them with his choice to not come back.

As he walked down the hallway, the sound of music met his ears. It was coming from Astrid’s room. Carter stopped to listen. The music was so soft and sad. Love and loss and letting go were the sweetly sung lines.

Carter slowly pushed Astrid’s door open to see his friend sitting in the middle of his bed on his laptop.

“Hey, Carter!” Astrid gave him one of his super-bright smiles that usually had the effect of making him smile in return, but not today.

“What is that?” Carter asked, his eyes watering.

“What?” Astrid tilted his head to the side. “The song?” Carter nodded his head, too afraid to speak. “Oh, it’s ‘Say Something’ by A Great Big World. Pretty cool song, huh? It’s so haunting, the lyrics and the artist’s voice.” Astrid wrapped his arms around his chest as if he were cold. “Gives me chills every time I listen to it.”

“Yeah.” Carter swiped a hand under his eye to catch the stray tear that broke free.

“Are you all right?” Astrid climbed off his bed and came to stand in front of Carter. His small hands cupped Carter’s cheeks. “What’s the matter?”

“Nothing.” Carter forced a smile on his face. He was going to miss his dear friend, but the lyrics of the song still played in his head. He feared that it might be time to give up on Abner. He’d do anything for his mate, but Abner wasn’t ready to accept his apologies and Carter didn’t know if his mate ever would. “I just came to say good-bye.”

“Good-bye?” Astrid’s hands fell back to his sides. “Where are you going?”

“The Council of Paranormal Beings has called me back home.” Carter shrugged. “More like my parents did, but still the same result. I leave in a few minutes and wanted to say bye before I left.”

“Will you be coming back?” Astrid asked in a voice so small Carter could barely hear it.

“I’m not sure, bud.” Carter rumbled a hand through Astrid’s hair. He’d trimmed his long locks into a short, shaggy-style haircut. Carter liked the look on Astrid. “But there is always text and email. I’ll only be a phone call away.”

“But what about Abner?”

“What about him?” The sharp spike of pain in his chest burned brighter every time he thought of his mate and leaving him behind.

“Is he going with you?”

“I don’t know.” Carter shook his head, then grinned through the pain. “But don’t you worry about us. I’m sure we’ll work out our differences eventually.”

“Promise?” Tears streaked down Astrid’s rosy-red cheeks.

“Ah, bud, you know I can’t promise something like that.” He pulled Astrid into a tight hug. “I hope and I pray every night that one day Abner and I will find a way to be together, but until then I just don’t know. I wasn’t the nicest person to him in the beginning and he’s a stubborn man with a memory a mile long.” He pushed Astrid an arm’s length away to stare into his sad eyes. “It takes two people to make a mating work.”

“I know!” Astrid gripped Carter’s hands in his. “Just promise you won’t give up yet.”

“Astrid.” Carter tried to turn away. There wasn’t much Astrid couldn’t get him to promise and he didn’t want to lie to his friend.

“Promise to not lose hope.” Astrid grinned. “Stranger things have happened.”

Carter laughed. “I’ll try not to give up just yet. Okay?”

“That’s all I can ask for.” Astrid reached up on his tiptoes to give Carter one last hug. “Please come back to us, Carter. This is your home, not the council.”

“I’ll try.”

Carter walked out of Astrid’s room and back to his room. He grabbed his bags and stopped at the entryway to his room. With one last look at the place he’d called home for the past year, he said good-bye.

“You ready?” Klaus asked as Carter came down the stairs.

“Yep!” Carter followed Klaus out the front door. He didn’t bother to ask where Abner was. They needed a clean break, even if just for a while.

ADULT EXCERPT

Carter tossed his shirt to the floor and shimmied out of his pants, then came up onto his knees. Abner’s hands went to his belt buckle but Carter smacked his hands away. He bent over and stuck out his tongue, licking upward from Abner’s slightly furred treasure trail up to the center of his chest, moving to tease his right nipple while he plucked at the left one with his fingers.

“So good,” Abner groaned as his fingers combed through Carter’s hair, clasping him to Abner’s chest.

Carter teased the dusty-rose-colored peaks for a few more minutes, then moved upward to sink his teeth into the soft skin where Abner’s shoulder and neck met. His mate tasted wild and bold, like the scent of a pine and smoke. Carter was getting drunk on the smell.

He let his hands quickly undo Abner’s buckle and pulled the fastening free. Carter then shoved his mate’s pants down his legs. Carter leaned back far enough to look down their bodies at the protruding cock. Abner’s dick was thick and heavily veined. The skin was pulled so tight around Abner’s erection, the skin looked purple. Carter wrapped his fingers around the solid length and gave a gentle stroke.

“Fuck yeah.” Abner jerked forward.

Carter dropped his head to kiss and suck his way up Abner’s neck to his jaw, never once stopping his hand from jacking Abner’s cock. Using his other hand, Carter fondled Abner’s balls, pulling and tugging. Abner spread his knees further apart and Carter reached back further. The heat coming from Abner’s center was scorching. Carter couldn’t resist. He eased his finger back toward Abner’s tight little hole and circled it. The muscle tensed and fluttered under his gentle touch.

“Carter,” Abner whispered, and pushed an inch away from Carter to look into his eyes. “Have you…” Abner’s voice trailed off. Carter watched him take a deep breath. “Would you mind…”

Carter wanted to smile at the perplexed look on his mate’s face. Abner’s cheeks were bright red and sweat dotted his forehead. He knew what Abner was trying to ask and Carter wanted to pump his fist in the air. In the twelve months he’d been with Abner, Carter had never once topped the man. Sure, he wanted to, but their encounters were often swift and finished within seconds. At the time, Carter was happy to get what he could but he wouldn’t deny he desperately wanted to be buried balls deep into his mate. There was something about how big and strong Abner was that made Carter want to see the man fall apart at his touch.

“What, Abner?” Carter applied a small amount of pressure to his finger, dipping the tip of his finger into Abner’s scalding heat. It took everything in Carter not to push Abner down on the bed and mount him. “Tell me what you need, baby?” He pushed the finger deeper and he could feel Abner’s thighs tremble.

“I want.” Abner bit his bottom lip, his head tilting back on his shoulders. “I want you inside me.” He looked up and met Carter’s eyes. “Will you make love to me?” he asked in a small voice, the sound so innocent and loving Carter’s eyes welled up with tears.

“I thought you’d never ask.” Carter covered Abner’s lips with his and teased his tongue over the seam until Abner opened up, sucking him in further.

Abner fell back to lie on his back, spreading his legs. Carter positioned himself between the massive tree trunks Abner called legs. He knew if Abner squeezed his thighs together, he could crush Carter in a heartbeat.

Carter broke the kiss to stretch over to the nightstand and pulled out the lube he stashed there for when he jerked off. He was young so that happened quite often.

Carter reclaimed Abner’s lips as he popped the cap and squirted the cool, clear liquid on his fingers. He let the tube fall to the bed and he painted his fingers over Abner’s hairy entrance. Abner shuddered beneath him and spread his thighs further apart. Carter started with one finger then quickly added another. He sat up and watched as his fingers sank deeper. Carter curled his fingers and massaged over Abner’s prostate, which sent his mate wailing in pleasure.

Abner’s entire body was flushed and glistening in sweat. The hard length jetting up toward Abner’s belly button dripped pre-cum, leaving a wet mark on Abner’s stomach.

The Alpha's Captive: Cover and Blurb

Hope everyone is having an awesome Monday/Presidents day! My kids are out of school so I'm hiding up in my room trying to get some work done. I'm  finishing up on edits for The Alpha's Captive and starting on The Wolf's Runaway Tiger's edits.

As of right now the Nehalem Pack series has four books with release dates and I just submitted book five last week. I'm having a lot of fun writing this series. The characters really did come to life for me. The words flowed like water out of my brain through my fingertips and to my laptop. If you can't already tell I absolutely love these characters and the story line for each one.

The Nehalem Pack series is centered around three brothers, Devon, Viktor, and Erik. They're wolf shifters who are still dealing with the loss of their parents ten years prior. There's action, love, and a good amount of hope within this series for the characters. I haven't decided how many books this series will be but there are quite a few characters who deserve to have their story told.

Here is the cover and blurb for The Alpha's Captive. Its set to release March 16, 2013.

Blurb

Hunters have taken everything from Devon Carsten. First, they murdered his parents, and now they’ve taken his brother. With no other options left, Devon decides an eye for an eye, or in this case a brother for a son, is the best course of action, and he takes the son of the man who kidnapped his brother. But his plan blows up in his face when he realizes the man in question is his mate.

Aiden Stefano never imagined a weekend at home would start off with him being kidnapped by men claiming to be werewolves or that he would fall for one. Now he must find a way to convince Devon what they share is worth fighting for and prove to his father that wolves aren’t the monsters he believes them to be. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Aiden is the only thing Devon has to bargain with, but can he give up his mate to save his brother?

Here is a schedule of release dates for the three upcoming titles.

The Wolf's Runaway Tiger- March 30, 2013
His Dominant Omega- April 13, 2013
The Hunter's Sexy Wolf- April 27, 2013

Hope you've enjoyed this little tid-bit and will fall in love with these characters like I have.

Thanks for stopping by and happy reading!!!

Six Sentence Sunday

This is a little bittersweet. This is my first participation in Six Sentence Sunday but its also the last one that will be ran. An author friend of mine told me that Six Sentence Sunday was coming to an end and I had to do it just once.

My six sentence are from an upcoming release that will come out in April of this year. Its titled The Alpha's Captive, book one in the Nehalem Pack. It will be released through Siren.

“What do you want with my dad?”

The uncertainty and fear in Aiden’s voice tugged at his soul but he trudged on. Daven’s attraction for the younger Stefano couldn’t get in the way of finding his brother.

“I’m looking for him because he’s one of the hunters that took my brother.” Daven couldn’t resist and placed his hand at that nap of Aiden’s neck. “And you will make for a good bargaining chip to get him back.”

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the other participating authors at Six Sentence Sunday.

It was a pleasure to take part in the last Six Sentence Sunday and it will be missed!

Special Guest Edward Kendrick

Edward Kendrick is my guest today and I must say a fascinating person. A very enjoyable blog posting and plus Weekends sounds amazing. A must add to my to be read pile. Without further ado, Edward Kendrick.

Thank you very much for having me here today AJ.

A bit about my, well history if you will.

I was born and bred Cleveland, heading off to college when I was eighteen where I earned my BA in technical theater.  I returned to Cleveland where I did a stint as an intern with a professional theater. While I was there I discovered I loved costuming. So when my year was up I headed to NYC and did the usual restaurant jobs as well as finding some work off-Broadway. I stayed for three years but finally saw the futility of trying to become rich and famous as a costumer in the Big Apple. I joined VISTA, ending up in Chicago for another three years. Then it was on to Denver where I put down roots and worked as a costume designer until just recently.

I began writing about ten years ago after joining an on-line fanfic group. Two friends and I then started a group for writers where they can post any story they wish no matter the genre or ‘heat rating’. I’ve now branched out into writing on my own, primarily M/M stories, both erotic and just ‘romantic’, for publication. G.A. Hauser gave me my first break, publishing a short story of mine in ‘Julian’.  Then, as luck would have it, Silver Publishing accepted my first submission of a full-length story and I’ve been with them ever since.

My most recent book, ‘Weekends’, is due out on July 21st

Blurb:
Marcus Hampton is a staid forty-year-old bookkeeper and a confirmed bachelor. When Demitri Costas, a young photographer, asks if he can take some pictures of Marcus, the older man is surprised but reluctantly agrees.

Demitri becomes infatuated with Marcus, despite the fact he believes the man is straight and married.

Slowly they become friends until each realizes the other is gay, at which point Marcus begins to pull away, certain he is too old for Demitri.

It will take everything within Demitri's power to convince Marcus he's wrong. If he can, and he is determined he will, one way or another, they just might find a future together.
