Blurb:

The steamy standalone sequel to Dangerously Mine.

Kane Epps divides his life into two distinct parts—before the alien invasion and after. Before the invasion, he had a pregnant wife and a high-powered job. After the invasion, he’s left with only himself and his hatred for all things alien. He channels his bitterness by captaining a vessel of renegade humans—space pirates who don’t think twice about taking what they need.

Princess Sa’Mya is on the run. She and a few trusted advisers fled her  home planet, only to be captured by the sexy, dangerous Captain Epps. He claims  to hate aliens but can’t seem to resist touching her or kissing her…everywhere.

As Kane introduces Sa’Mya to ever-increasing, unimaginable realms of pleasure, the princess becomes determined to earn his trust. She’s used to getting what she wants. And this time, what she wants is Kane Epps.

Inside Scoop: This space-opera romance contains male/male sex scenes, girl-on-girl action, group sex and some good old-fashioned voyeurism.

Excerpt

He thumbed toward his bed. “What is that and why is it in my bed?”

“Her? Oh, that’s the princess.”

Kane tilted his head and waved an impatient arm. “Okay…and why is it in my bed?”

JB nervously ran his fingers through his hair. “Umm, okay. Don’t have a hissy fit but I thought the princess should stay in here with you.”

“Are you out of your fucking mind?”

JB threw up his hands in defense. “Don’t worry, I checked her for weapons, she’s clean. The guys were getting really worked up waiting for their turn with the other two. I told her to sleep on the floor.”

JB nodded to the makeshift pallet on the floor. “Maybe she got too cold. Damn, it’s an icebox in here.” JB wrapped his arms around himself and rubbed.

“I don’t give a damn what you thought.”

“We found some expensive-ass-looking jewels in her trunks. We have to keep her. She’s got to be valuable.”

Kane shook his head. “She can’t stay here. Lock her in one of the unused cabins.”

“You mean one of the cabins everyone has access to? Think about it for a minute. If she’s rich—and judging from the size of her jewelry, she’s loaded—we need her. You keep saying how we need one really big score to go somewhere remote and live normal lives. This can be it, Kane. I have a good feeling about this.”

He raked an irritated gaze to the creature in his bed. If he put her in one of the other cabins, the men might pursue her. All four of them. If she was as valuable as JB thought, it might be worth his while to keep her out of harm’s way.

“Do you want me to make her get on the floor?” JB asked. “I can tie her to the bed or something if that’ll make you feel safe.” JB held back a chuckle.

The day he was scared of a princess was the day he might as well turn himself back in to the Galontaers and get out of this business altogether.

“If she wants to stay alive, I’m sure I won't have any trouble out of her.”

“Good, because I have business to finish.”

Kane noticed he wasn’t the only one dealing with a massive hard-on. JB shifted from foot to foot, adjusting and readjusting his crotch.

“We’ll talk about her sleeping arrangements in the morning,” Kane said, dismissing his friend before JB burst right in front of him. “The other two are all right?” he asked as JB turned to leave.

“Oh yeah, they’re a handful.” JB grinned and pointed to the scratches.

Whatever, Kane thought. Nodding curtly, he dismissed JB.

Kane turned back to the female as his door closed. At some point during the conversation, she had put her arms stiffly to her sides. Her gaze was still locked on the ceiling. He had no doubt shocked her real good. But she could have stopped him.

Right now he needed to find some release for his purple member.

Ava’s Pleasure

Welcome to Paradise 1
Blurb:

When prim proper Ava stumbles into a Miami sex club, she isn't expecting to find the man from her dreams. Navy SEAL Logan is just wasting time between missions until this naïve and innocent woman turns his world upside down.

Of all the sex clubs, she had to walk into his. How was Ava Cullen supposed to know her prim and proper aunt was part owner of the premier sex club in Miami and a top-notch Dominatrix? When she stumbled into club Paradise and came face to face with her dream man, she had a feeling she stood on the precipice of something life changing.

Navy SEAL Logan Turner always knew he needed more out of life than the next mission. That's why he opened Paradise with his best friend Julie. It didn't hurt that he could reap the benefits of owning a sex club. That was until a sexy, doe-eyed woman walked in, making his control slip for the first time ever.

Maggie’s Desire

Welcome to Paradise 2
Blurb:

Who would have thought a plan to get the attention of one man, would have Maggie Blake taking two men to her bed?

Maggie Blake has one desire, to experience what the way-too-sexy Brian O'Malley has to offer in bed. Too bad, he thinks of her as an annoyance and not as the hot willing woman she is.

Brian has one rule in life. Never let a woman too close, but club Paradise's sassy little bartender threatens to change that rule and wiggle her hot little ass into his damaged heart.

Excerpt

Her mind conjured up images of their naked bodies fused together. White-hot pleasure bubbled inside her soul. Maggie forced her eyes open and stared right at Brian. She could all but feel him lean in and flick her earlobe with his tongue. A shiver danced over the tender flesh like a whisper. Her teeth bit hard into her bottom lip. She stifled the moan burning in her throat. Maggie's breasts yearned to be touched. Her pussy flared with moist heat.

She wanted him bad. Swallowing back a whimper, Maggie squeezed her thighs together to relieve the throbbing ache between them. "God, you're pathetic," she said aloud. "You wouldn't know what to do with Brian if you had him hot, hard, and calling your name."

"What was that, Maggie?"

She jumped and spun. "Holy shit, Logan. Where did you come from?"

He frowned. "I've been here for ten minutes."

"You scared the crap out of me."

His eyes narrowed. He rubbed his thumb over her cheek. "Are you feeling okay?"

She stepped back. "I'm fine. It's hot in here is all." Her cell vibrated against her hip and she jumped again. "Shit." Maggie fished the phone out of the pocket of the too tight jean cut offs. "Have I told you today, the uniforms here suck?"

Logan sent her a heart-melting smile. "Not from where I'm standing."

She pulled denim down her leg so the shorts looked more like shorts and less like bikini bottoms. "Next time I'm going with you and Julie when you go shopping for new outfits."

"If you had it your way, we would all wear over-sized cargo pants and baggy T-shirts.

She grinned up at him. "Just the women. The men would wear tight shorts and no shirts." Her cell vibrated again. "Crap." She glanced at the screen.
NICK: The eagle has landed.
She checked the time. "Holy shit, I'm going to be late." Her pathetic fantasizing had her losing all track of time. She took a breath, pulled herself together, and typed back. Haven't left work yet. See you in twenty.

Shoving the phone back into her snug pocket, she gazed at Logan. "Nick just landed." Maggie motioned to the bar. "You got this?"

Logan sent her his signature grin. "No, but since Nick is here to help me and Ava with the new house, I guess I can make do."

"Thanks." She rushed out from behind the bar and pushed through the crowd toward the door. Maggie felt someone grab her ass. She spun and rammed her elbow into the offender's ribs. "Back off, asshole."

The guy stumbled. "Ouch, sorry. I was just going to ask if you wanted to go to a private room with me?"

She put her hands on her hips and examined him critically. People really pissed her off. "Hey, jackass. Just because this is a sex club doesn't mean you can touch people without their permission."

Hop Against Homophobia and Transphobia 2013

Hello to all and hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday! Today, May 17, is the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, Here's the link to their website: http://dayagainsthomophobia.org/ . This blog hop was designed to celebrate this cause and spread awareness.  Everyone deserves to live in a world where understanding and equality are freely giving not something they should have to fight for.

Not sure how much people know about me but I'm a straight woman, happily married, with four kids, and I write in the M/M genre. I live in a nice town where literally everyone knows you or they know someone that knows you. Very close nit I'd say. In saying that I haven't experienced the hate that other humans spew out toward others who they considered different. I'm fortunate but it doesn't make me any less offended when I hear people say things or do things in a hurtful manner. My belief is that we are all created equal and should be treated as such.

Like I said I have four kiddos and I'm doing my best to raise them not to be judgmental toward others. Like most kids they say things at times they don't know are hurtful or disrespectful and I have to correct them and tell them why what they said is wrong. Not a huge problem now because they are kids but this is the time to inform then why that is wrong. I don't want them growing up thinking being rude at the expense of others is acceptable.

Being around my kids and my kids friends I hear a lot and the one thing they all say, except my kids because they no better, is the word gay in a joking and unkind manner. Me being me I step up and ask them to explain to me why they would say that.  Is being gay a bad thing? Something to be shameful of? I'll tell you most kids clam up and have no response to my questions. That is fine they are young but because they are young its the time to tell them why they shouldn't be saying things like that. What might seem funny to them isn't to others. As parents and adults its our job to teach our kids. I'm a firm believer in everything starts at home. So as parents we need to do our part.

This being a blog hop I will be giving out a prize. I'm offering to one lucky winner a $20 gift card to Amazon and any 1 of my books. All you have to do is leave a comment with a correct email. The hop runs from May 17, 2013- May 27, 2013. I'll pick a winner on May 28, 2013. Also there are several individuals participating in this hop so please stop by and check out there postings. This is a blog hop with a cause!

Special Guest Muffi Beyer

Muffi Beyer is my guest today and she is promoting Exile. This is a tour long giveaway 5/10/13-5/31/13. It is a Scavenger Hunt so I'll leave a list of all participating blogs at the bottom so you can visit each one to collect the letters. I will also have a posting of the rules as well. First place will receive a $20 gift card to Amazon or B&N.

Muffi was kind enough to answer some questions for us so please sit back and enjoy!

Why don't you tell us a little about yourself....Something that we cannot Google about you, lol!
If you try to Google me, you won’t get as much as you get with Kim Beyer-Johnson, which is and was the name I used throughout my career as a television and film writer. Muffi Beyer is the real me who likes to kick ass and makes no apologies. Muffi Beyer is the one who did odd and outrageous things for years just because she could. That’s why Muffi Beyer writes novels… which is a very odd and outrageous thing to do as we all know. Other things you couldn’t Google about me: I love being obsessive compulsive, I hate fruit, I was a professional artist and psychotherapist in between writing gigs, I eat candy every day (very important), I write 2,000 words a day five days a week and usually go to the Getty museum every Sunday to sketch (see, I love being obsessive compulsive), my dog’s name is Roo, and my cat’s name is Muffin.

Tell us a little about your book?
Exile asks the question: If faced with the option of being in love and being delusional, or being sane and realizing true love is a delusion, which would you choose? I’ve always been interested in the thin line between love and insanity, creativity and insanity, genius and insanity. Not that any of that makes me INSANE, right?

Anyway, Exile is about a successful film director who’s had a pretty crappy love life and is going through the grieving process over the loss of her young son. On set in Ireland she comes face to face with her true love from a past life. In most ghost stories, characters make the logical jump and believe the ghost is real. However, my character, Rachel goes through the entire book thinking she might be losing her mind while also falling more and more in love with the object of her supposed insanity. I won’t give away the ending, but it should really make the reader think and is good fodder for lots of book club arguments.

How much emotion does it take from you to write?
Well, that depends who’s writing—me or my characters. And yes, I know that sounds INSANE (please see above question.)  But seriously, I have this weird schizophrenic experience when I write. If the characters are just sitting next to me and I’m basically taking dictation, it doesn’t take much emotion at all—I’m just along for the ride. When it isn’t flowing, it takes a lot of emotion. I get really pissy and stomp around and snap at my husband, poor guy. But thank the Lord God that rarely happens when I’m actually in the process of writing… more when I’m outlining the book or screenplay or whatever I’m working on.

What is your favorite part of the book?
The ending. Just read it, you’ll see.

You can only pick 3 words for your main characters..what would they be? *to describe your main characters*
Rachel: F*cked up. Smart. A true romantic.
Daniel: Hot! Devoted. Strong yet incredibly tender.
Okay, that’s way more than three words per, but I’m a natural born rule breaker.

Which was the easiest character to write and the hardest ~ and why??
Well, I am all aspects of all my characters, so on some levels all of them were easy to write, but Naomi, Rachel’s best friend, is snarky and sassy so I found her super fun and easy to write. I think characters are easy to write if you “know” them. In other words, if I understand who they are, where they come from, and why they’re doing what they’re doing, it makes them easy to write. They’re just like real live people and their dialogue and actions have a life of their own.

In terms of what character was hardest to write in Exile, none of them were hard. At this point in my career I don’t do hard anymore. Honestly, if I can’t relate to who the character is or what they want to say I just don’t write them in. I know it will be really false and lame so I don’t go there. I’ve spent a career writing characters or stories that were assigned to me. That was hard because it was somebody else’s vision and not mine. So now, sticking to characters and stories that I want to write seems easy to me now.

How many books are you shooting for in this series??
Alas, this is not a series.

What are you currently working on?
It’s called Jeni and Rae and is the first book of a paranormal romance trilogy. The books borrow greatly from my daughter’s Jekyll and Hyde personality and quirky friends. It’s dark, it’s irreverant, it’s romantic, and I LOVE IT!

Do you have anything due to release soon?
The first book in the Jeni and Rae series will be out this summer. Whoop, whoop!

What's one thing that you enjoy about writing?
One thing? What’s with the one thing? It’s more like: everything. But if I had to choose I’d say the best thing about writing novels as an indie author is: I don’t have to ask permission. Doing whatever the hell I want is a close second.

Since we're cover hussies....what was your first impression of your cover?
Don’t make fun of me… I actually gasped then thought I was going to cry. I was doing my producer job at the time and it was very embarrassing. Real executives don’t cry. But it was just so damn beautiful. How did my cover artist, Heather McPherson (shout out!) do it?

What do you prefer ebooks or paperbacks?
I actually do love my ereader, but please, please, please book gods—don’t get rid of bookstores. If I was trapped in one building for the rest of my life after a nuclear holocaust never to emerge into the light again, I would choose to be locked inside a Barnes and Noble… books, music, coffee… nirvana.

Is there a genre you would like to write but are a little apprehensive to try?
Ah, let me think about that for a minute… NO! If I want to try something, screw being apprehensive.

Okay.... personal time!!!! Oh yeah, I go there... Hahah... If you thought you were safe... Nah... Forgot it... Not a chance! We will start off slow and easy, I promise!

What is on your night stand/dresser?
A book, my dollar reading glasses, a cool spidery looking plant that I often forget to water, a photo of my kids… before they started costing me tons of money and growing pimples. What did you think the answer was going to be… sex toys? That’s inside the drawer – duh.

What are you listening to you right now?
Nivrana. Kurt Cobain you were a god.

What are you reading right now?
Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Unsaid by Neil Abramson, a soon to be released YA novel by a friend of mine call A Really Awesome Mess by Trish Cook and Brendan Halpin, A Silent Run, by Barbara Freethy, Paper Towns by John Green.

What is your favorite season? Holiday?
Love winter—better to read books by. But summer’s great for the beach. Christmas is amazing – a dream come true if you’re obsessive compulsive like me – so many traditions not enough time!

And what has been your best b-day present ever??
Anything that was handmade by my kids. Thanks guys!

Hard and Quick Time! Don't think... Just answer! Okay, before we go this route, I will get us a refill on our drinks... I will be right back... You know you do... Quickie time... Think fast....

Are you a quickie kind girl?
I’m quick, but I’m not sure about the “ie” part.

Dark or Milk Chocolate?
Dark, honey. Bittersweet is the best.

Whipped or Melted?
Whip me up and I’ll melt.

Straight up or with a twist - sex?
If this is in reference to the shape of a penis, straight up is always a good option.

What's ur fave drink - in a glass or on him?
My husband is not the best receptacle in the world. Just saying.

Spank or Flogger?
I’m against violence. I went to UC Berkeley.

Junk or Health Food?
Give me junk food or give me death. Actually, I’m sure I’ll get my wish soon with my diet.

Ties or Chains?
I’ve never believed in dressing up, so ties are out. I guess I’m going with chains.

Leather or Lace?
I prefer cotton. 100%

Soft or Hard... Bed, where was your mind?
Soft for the bed, hard for everything else thank you very much

Control or Be Controlled?
Okay, if I like to be in control I’m a bitch. If I like to be controlled I’m a wimp. I’m not answering – you figure it out.

Hot Wax or Whip Cream?
Have you ever actually been waxed? It’s HORRIBLE. Whip cream is  great on sundaes and Frappaccinos, not so hot on body parts IMO.

Vampire or Werewolf?
Bite me, baby.

Twitter and/or Facebook?
Must I? I’d rather sit down and chat.

Pinterest or not?
Oh, not, I guess. I’d rather go and see the sunset instead of looking at it on my computer.
