Special Guest Danica Avet

Danica Avet is my special guest today! She's promoting her latest release Dean's List and having a scavenger hunt giveaway. All rules for the scavenger hunt will be posted below. The scavenger hunt runs from 3/18/13-3/2813. The prize is a $50 gift card to (Amazon, B&N or ARe) and 1 copy of Dean's List.
I was lucky enough to have Danica answer a few questions. So please sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Danica Avet!

Are you a plotter or a pantser, or a hybrid?
I like to think I’m a hybrid, like an awesome cheetah slash tiger kick ass shifter. But mostly I’m a person who can’t stand being tied down to a set plan. I have a beginning and an end. I let the characters take it from there.

What item, or items, is absolutely necessary to your writing mojo?
Oh I have to have music. It doesn’t matter where I’m writing. My kitchen table, my desk, a coffee shop, a quiet hotel room? It doesn’t matter. I have music blaring. Other than that? Just a little space.

What’s the strangest (neatest, coolest, etc) thing you’ve ever done?
Gah…that’s a tough one! *thinks hard* What’s neat or cool to me might be mundane and boring to someone else, but for me, it was getting my first book published. I mean…how often are you able to fulfill your secret, teenage dreams? (That aren’t drug induced not that I know anything about that.) I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I can remember writing little stories from the time I was seven and despite my self-consciousness and my fears and my panic attacks, I got not one, but several books published. That is by far the coolest thing I’ve ever done. That might change if I ever get to meet Vin Diesel and show him the way naughty erotic writers do things…bwahaha. *cough*

What is one place in the world you’d love to visit which you haven’t already been?
Oh, so many! I’d love to go to Germany. History major, remember? I’d actually love to do a tour of Europe. When I was in college, I only wanted to go to Prague because they pitchers of beer for a nickel, but now I’m in it for the culture and the men. I mean, hehe, culture and history…and men.

What was your favorite subject in high school or college?
Surprisingly it wasn’t History. I sort of fell into that as a major because I was good at it and interested in it, but I much preferred Music and English. I was in band for 9 years (from middle school to three years in college) and that fed my need to be creative. English helped me feed my need to read. History was boring until we started learning cool stuff like Egyptian Mythology. Kind of hard not to be interested in history when you learn ancient people thought the universe was created by masturbation.

What are you currently working on, or what’s on the horizon?
I have a lot of projects on the burners and I’m working on them a little here and there. I have my 3rd shifter story in my Cajun Heat series I’m working on, as well as a contemporary erotic romance with ménage elements, another erotic spoof or two or three, an erotic horror, some more contemporaries…I have a lot on my mind, LOL

What do you do when you’re not writing?
I love to read. If only my favorite authors would write faster! I also love to watch “my shows” like Love It or List It, Face Off, King of the Nerds, Swamp People, Duck Dynasty to name a few.

Blurb:
A quick romp in his home office with his family upstairs. A roadside quickie in his car after picking up a stranded motorist. A dominating woman who uses and abuses him in the most delicious of ways. These are just a few things that make Dean McKnight the luckiest man alive. Top it off with a successful career, a wonderful family and a hot, adventurous wife, and Dean couldn’t be happier.
With the option of having a different woman every night of the week, Dean’s list is packed with women who fulfill all his darkest fantasies. He just never knows which one will show up next.

Author Bio:

Danica Avet was born and raised in the wilds of South Louisiana (that would be somewhere around Houma) where mosquitoes are big enough to carry off small children and there are only two seasons: hot and hotter. With a BA in History, she figured there were enough fry cooks in the world and decided to try her hand at writing.

Danica is the lucky pet of a compulsively needy dog and two cats. The pitter-patter of little feet has been known to make her break out into a cold sweat.

Writing is how she gives the voices in her head a way out. When she isn’t writing, working or contemplating the complexities of the universe, she spends time gathering inspiration from her insane family, reads far more than any sane person would want to, and watches hot burly men chase an oblong ball all over a field.
