Logan

BLURB

All Logan Erickson ever wanted in life was stability and a place to call home. He thought he found that until he finds himself with the psychic ability to listen in on other people’s innermost thoughts. After hearing the dark desires of his current boyfriend, Logan takes off traipsing through the woods, abandoning all hope of ever finding true love, when he stumbles upon a man that will change his very existence.

Finn Palmer has every reason to dislike witches after being turned into a rattlesnake shifter without any knowledge of the paranormal world until meeting the Warriors of the Light. Finn, like most, has waited patiently to find his mate, and now that he’s found Logan he has no intentions of ever letting him go even if Logan is part witch.

An unforeseen enemy is after Logan’s body to host another’s soul. Will Finn be able to prevent this evil plot, or will Logan be lost to him forever?

STORY EXCERPT

Finn looked at his mate, uncertain of what he should say. Logan agreed to the mating. He wanted it. Hell, he begged for it. But now his mate looked like he was scared of him. Him, his mate. This wasn’t good.

“Logan, calm down,” Finn said in soft, unthreatening tone.

“How do you know my name?” Logan scooted to the other side of the bed.

“It’s written on your ID.”

“You went through my wallet?” Finn watched his mate climb from the bed. “Good grief, what have I gotten myself into.” Logan fidgeted with his clothes, and Finn took the opportunity to tug up his pants.

He pulled his shirt over his head as he listened to his mate talk to himself. It would appear Logan thought what had just happened was all a dream and was pissed because he felt like a slut or some such nonsense. They were mates, and Finn had to find a way to explain that without freaking the man out more than he already was.

“Logan, please sit down. I’ll explain everything.” He followed behind Logan as he picked up his socks and shoes from the floor.

“I let you fuck me without a condom. Hell, I even let you bite me.” He turned abruptly to Finn. “Do you have any diseases I need to know about?” Logan barked out a laugh. “Like you would actually tell me the truth,” his mate mumbled to himself.

“You don’t have to fear catching anything from me. I’m disease-free. I swear it.” If Logan only knew Finn couldn’t catch human ailments.

“Yeah, right, whatever.” Logan shuffled around Finn’s room, searching for the rest of his belongings.

Anger flared its nasty head at his mate’s refusal to believe him. He would die for Logan, but right now he wanted to throttle the very sexy brat. “I would never lie to you. You’re my mate. I would never hurt you. I love you.” Before he could stop himself, he blurted out the words. Seeing the shocked and disbelieving look on his mate’s face, he instantly regretted the omission.

“Excuse me? Are you fucking insane?” Logan shouted. “You love me?” His mate shook his head, sending a clump of hair over his left eye. “You don’t even know me.”

“Logan, if you just let me explain it’ll all make sense. I promise.” Finn took a step toward his mate. He had to tilt his head upward to meet Logan’s eyes.

As Logan stood still before him, Finn took the time to take in his mate’s beauty. Logan stood a few inches taller than his own five foot ten inches. His body was composed of lean, firm muscle like that found on a swimmer’s body. Not bulky but proportionate to his frame and height. His short black hair stood out in contrast to his pale skin. Not even a blemish marred the creamy white skin. The most exotic thing about Logan was his eyes. The blue irises had a milky tinge to them, almost appearing white.

“I’m sorry, but I need to get out of here.” Logan raced out the bedroom door.

“Shit!” Finn grumbled to himself as he gave chase.

The guy was fast. By the time Finn reached the top of the stairs, Logan was already halfway down.

As Logan ran out the front door, Finn caught up to his mate. A car was pulling into the drive, but he didn’t have time to stop and check it out. His priorities lay with his mate.

“Logan, please talk to me.” He stayed close on Logan’s heels. “At least let me give you a ride home.”

That stopped his mate in his tracks. He slowly turned to face Finn. “You’d take me home?” Logan appeared to be skeptical of his offer.

“Of course I would.” The doubt in Logan’s eyes made his chest ache. How could his mate be so untrusting of him?

“Okay, I’ll let you take me home but no sex. Not even a kiss good-bye. You hear me?” Logan pointed a finger at him. Finn nodded his understanding.

He turned around and could hear Logan following behind him. Finn hated that his mate was treating him so poorly. He only did what Logan had asked for, but he should have seen that his mate wasn’t in the right mindset to make such a decision, and Finn had wanted the bonding so bad. He let his own desires cloud his judgment, and now he was paying for it.

When they reached Finn’s truck, he walked around the front of the vehicle and opened the door for Logan. As he climbed into the car, he didn’t seem to be upset, as if all the fight had left his body. That was a good thing. But Logan had a faraway, lost look in his eyes that bothered Finn.

Once he got into the driver’s seat and turned over the engine, Logan turned to him. “I guess I don’t have to tell you where I live since you’ve seen my license.”

He just nodded. It seemed useless to anger his mate any more than necessary. A life-changing event in their lives just took place not more than ten minutes ago. Finn had to give the skittish human some time to adjust.

As they drove down the long stretch of darkened highway, he stayed silent, waiting for his mate to become comfortable in his presence. They had completed the blood, sex, magic mating bond, and no matter how much Logan fought it, he would be drawn to Finn. It was only a matter of time before Logan realized that.

“Can I ask you something?” Logan broke the silence.

“Sure.”

“How did I end up at your house?” Logan’s brow scrunched up in confusion.

ADULT EXCERPT

The silky hot mouth left his shaft. He felt the bed dip as the man reached into the drawer of the nightstand. He heard some shuffling around, then his dream man whispered out a curse.

“Baby, I don’t have any stuff.”

Logan grabbed the man by the hair and yanked him up to his face. “Then use your spit,” he said, growling out his frustration.

The man’s lips curved up, and Logan was blinded by his white teeth. “Yes, sir.”

Logan spread his legs farther apart then pulled up his knees to rest his feet on the bed. There was plenty of room for the man as he edged his way down Logan’s body, dropping kisses here and there as he went. Logan felt like screaming “hallelujah” when the guy finally reached his cock. The man licked a path from tip to base then continued on down. Logan jumped as a wet tongue circled his entrance. He started to pant. His heart raced out of control as the tongue began to pierce at his hole. Good god he needed more.

As if the man was reading his mind, he pulled back and spit at Logan’s hole. When he started to push a finger in, Logan kicked the hand away. The man shot worried eyes up at him.

“None of that. I want you to stick that massive cock of yours inside me, now.” It was all a dream anyway. It wasn’t like he would have anything to feel bad about in the morning or any pain to deal with. He might as well go all out and be as kinky and rough as he wanted. “Fuck me like you mean it,” he teased the man.

Doing as he was told, the man spat on his hole again then sat up. He held Logan’s eyes as he spit in his hand and rubbed it up and down his length. Logan ran his tongue across his lips. He was eager to taste the fine specimen in front of him. Very slowly, the man moved forward. The head of his cock breached the muscle barrier. Logan tensed as the burn morphed into erotic desire like nothing he ever felt before, and he needed more.

Once his dream lover was buried to the hilt, he paused above Logan. Logan tilted his head to the side. He could have sworn he heard a rattling sound. Shaking it off as just a weird part of his dream, he focused back on the hot man on top of him. The man held still as if waiting for a sign. Logan chuckled to himself. He wrapped his legs around the man’s waist and nudged his heels into the man’s lower thighs. He didn’t have to do it twice. The man started to move. After every second inward snap, he’d circle his hips, rubbing the rigid shaft over his prostate, driving Logan insane with need. He started to lift his hips up to meet his lovers. The sound of skin smacking against sweaty skin filled the room.

“This is everything I’ve ever imagined it would be.” The man moaned. “It’s like your body was made just for mine. It recognizes me.”

Logan listened to his dream lover babble but really couldn’t care less what he said just as long as he kept moving. The faster he snapped his hips, the higher Logan went on the cusp of the most fantastic orgasm of his life. Just a little more.

“Please, give it to me. I never want to wake up from this. God, I need you,” Logan couldn’t control his pleading cries. If he didn’t come soon, he felt like he would spontaneously combust.

The man shifted to his knees and stared down at him. “You want it?” Logan nodded. “Then tell me to claim you. To make you mine forever. Tell me what I need to hear. Say you want this bonding.”

Logan held the man’s gaze, unsure exactly what he was asking for. This was a dream after all. He’d give the man just about anything as long as Logan got to come at the end. “Yes. You can have whatever you want, just don’t stop.”

Before Logan knew what was going on, his legs were hiked up over the man’s shoulders as he pounded into his ass without mercy. The man moved so swiftly Logan didn’t realize what was happening. A piercing sharp pain stung his upper thigh where his lover had his mouth glued to Logan’s leg. The initial sting transformed into a fuzzy warmth that filled his body.

Logan watched as the man licked his lips as he pulled away from Logan’s thigh. Logan could fell wetness drip down his leg. The man had long fangs sticking out of his mouth. He couldn’t explain it, but Logan wasn’t frightened. If anything he wanted to lick the long teeth and let them puncture his skin again and again.

The man lifted his own wrist to his lips and bit down. When he pulled his arm from his mouth, he also pulled his throbbing sex from Logan’s body. The man smiled down at him as he ran a finger through the blood running down Logan’s leg then across the gash in his own arm. He took the combined fluid and swiped it across the engorged cock standing at full salute.

It all seemed a little odd to Logan, but he didn’t protest. Truth be told, even with all the weird occurrences going on in this dream, he couldn’t help but be turned on by the sight. The man ravaged his body with such force he couldn’t turn away or stop him.

The man pulled Logan down the bed and slid his cock back home.

Book Cover for Logan's Rattler

There's nothing better than checking your email and seeing that you have cover art in there. I received the book cover or Logan's Rattler today. It's book three in the Warriors of the light series. This book centers around Finn, a rattlesnake shifter, and Logan a human that isn't as human as he thought.

Here is an unedited blurb for this book. Enjoy!

After hearing the dark desires of his current boyfriend, Logan takes off traipsing through the woods abandoning all hope of every finding true love, when he stumbles upon a man that will change his very existence.

An unforeseen enemy is after Logan’s body to host another’s soul. Will Finn be able to prevent this evil plot or will Logan be lost to him forever?

I'm going through edits on this little gem right now. Still looking to release in September at Siren-Bookstrand. I'll post more info as it comes in.

Out of the Ashes

Got great news this week, Siren accepted Out of the Ashes. It's actually the first story I ever wrote back in January of 2011. The story was rejected by one publisher and I was disheartened but after going back and rereading it I had to agree with that assessment, it needed some work. Even with saying that I knew there was a great story there I just needed to peel back some layers and give it time to develop.

Now with five other books and four short stories part of anthologies under my belt, Out of the Ashes voice finally came to me. It's a contemporary M/M erotic romance, revolving around a firefighter and a writer. I put together two of my favorite things, writing and my love for firefighters. And let’s be fair, who doesn’t love firefighters???

So after countless tweaking and rethinking this story I finally finished it. It's such a relief. There’s nothing worse than having a story you know has potential but know time to devote to it. But I can finally say it’s done. With a new title, same changes to the characters occupations, but the same love story.

The whole general concept for this story is one of my favorites. Joe Bowman is a man who left his home town after graduation to get away from the assholes who teased him in high school. After a bad break up he comes back home to discover the one man he's always felt a strong attraction to has moved back to Kearney Missouri as well. Jackson McGhee is still in the closet, afraid to let others now his secret. He's not ashamed of being gay just fears the backlash that could arise because of it. Of course I had to add a little good natured drama to go along with the heartbreaking story line. Jackson just so happens to be the best friend of the man who teased Joe mercilessly during high school. But time changes people and a whole lot of changes happen for these characters and things get revealed. I cant wait to give out more details!!!

Out of the Ashes will be part of a series called A Forever Home. It's funny I have a good portion of the second in this series already written. I love these characters and I'm happy Siren has given them a home. Out of the Ashes is set to release in October. As edits come in I'll post blurbs and excerpts.

Hope everyone has an excellent weekend and happy reading!

Okay, Dennis Leary is one of my all time favorite comedians/actors. Rescue Me was one of  those shows I just had to watch. He might not be a real firefighter but he played a good one on TV. Love, love, love him, so of course I had to add a pic of him.

Warriors of the Light Book 3: Logan's Rattler

After rewriting the ending, Siren accepted book three in the Warriors of the Light series. Scheduled to release in September. I'm beyond happy. Getting that acceptance email never gets old.

Logan's Rattler will revolve around a young man name Logan, obviously, that literally runs into his mate Finn. Finn just so happens to be a rattlesnake shifter and couldn't control his instincts to bite the poor guy. If you read Mile's Awakening I made a reference to Finn and the man he was carrying through the woods after the the warriors rescued Miles. Well this is that guy and their story.

I've gotten some emails in regards to when Quinn and Trevor will get their book. All I can say is they will, but some other stories need to be told before they get theirs. Frustrating I know but after you read Logan's Rattler you might see where I'm going with the duo. I will say this, I did make references about Quinn and Trevor in this book that I hope satisfies the readers for now.

I'm in the process of working on book four of the Warriors of the Light and I'm also working on an untitled story as well. This is a busy time for me with my kiddos being out of school, so I haven't gotten as much writing done as I'd like but I'm sneaking in time here and there to hit the laptop.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and happy reading!!!

My Thoughts on Fate's Second Chance

I have to admit I’m a much better talker than writer when it comes to expressing my thoughts on certain issues so hopefully this makes sense to everyone who reads this.

I've read some recent reviews that have stated what they didn’t like about Fate's Second Chance was that it was hard for them to separate Marie from Marc. I can see where that could happen, after all I did write the story. But my intentions were not to separate the two because Marie was always Marc and Marc will always be Marie. A little confusing? Let me explain.

I’m one of those people who hate when people say she acts like a man or he comes off just a little too feminine. Who is the judge of this? Who has the right to say that about another individual?

What I’m getting at is that most of us are conditioned at an early age to think men should act a certain way and same for women. But why? As people are minds are forever growing and changing and putting labels on people is just constricting. I believe people act the way they want and there isn’t a set mold we should have to try and fit into. So I didn’t make Marc over masculine but he was still a man. I wonder if I never wrote Marc as being a woman to begin with if readers would have looked at the story differently. If I had Marc characterized as just being a sensitive guy who’s emotions got the best of him at times would that have made a difference?  Would it have changed the way the reader viewed Marc?

I wanted Marc to be seen as a man, who just so happens use to be a woman, going through the ups and downs of falling in love. Men and women experience the same down falls on the road to their happy ever after but is it that much different from one another? I don’t think it is. We’re all a bunch of people living in this huge world just trying to get through the days and hopefully find that one special person who makes all the hard work worth it at the end of the day.

Fate's Second Chance was my first published work and I would be the first to agree that there were things I wish I could have changed or added. I'm sure every writer has that should of, could of, would of crap run through their mind. But if you change to much stuff during edits your editor would probably want to strangle you. LOL!

I welcome all comments be it good or bad. Some constructive criticism never hurt anyone. My goal as a writer is to write material that others find entertaining and hopefully I'm accomplishing that particular goal. Without readers where would us writers be?

I hope everyone enjoys the start to their week and happy reading!!!

Release Day!!!

It's Astrid's Wish release day!!! I'm excited. It never gets old having a book come out and its made Siren's top 50 and Book Strands top 30 lists. I have to say that makes me extremely happy. Not for sales but for the simple fact that people are excited to read it. If you cant tell I'm a big self doubter almost to a fault. But it keeps me from getting a big head. LOL!

I have some things going on this week so I wont be doing a giveaway until next week. I have a guest blogger on Thursday May 17th. Camile Carson will be stopping by! Then this weekend is the Hop Against Homophobia.

So its a busy week plus I'm finishing up on book three of the Warriors of the Light series. I need more hours in the day or learn to go without sleep.

Be sure to stop by on Thursday for Camile's visit and this weekend for the hop. Yes its a hop but its for a good cause. A lot of participating authors.

Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week and happy reading!!!

Astrid's Wish Excerpts

Astrid's Wish is set to release on May 16th. I'm so excited. This story is longer and has quite a bit more detail. I'm extremely happy with the end results and I hope others will enjoy it too.

I realized I hadn’t posted any excerpts of the book, so I'm going to rectify that right now. Here is the story and the adult excerpt.

Enjoy and happy reading!!!

Story Excerpt

“Mr.Marinos , Benedict is needing to speak to you now. He says it’s urgent.” The sound of one of the council’s operator’s voices rang out through his quiet room.

Klaus groaned as he rolled over and smacked the bedside intercom. “I just bet it is.” He yawned and stretched out his arms. “Tell that prick I’ll be there when I get there.”

“Uh, Mr.Marinos , I don’t think I can say that to him,” the voice responded back to him.

Sending a silent fuck you to the Benedict, he hit the button again. “Of course not. Tell him I’ll be down in ten.”

Getting out of bed, he headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower. He dropped his gaze and switched the dial from hot to cold. The hard-on he sported wouldn’t be going away without any help any time soon, and he had forgone masturbating centuries ago. So that left a nice cold shower to relieve the pressure tightening his balls into tight little stones.

The dream had left him unsettled. He’d never had a dream that realistic before. The man lying on the bed seemed almost too real. The skin, the eyes, and the lean muscles that twitched when he laid his fingers on him, were definitely too real.

Klaus sighed as he stepped into the shower. He wished it were true, that the man was real. Being alone for so long could drive a person crazy, and maybe he had finally succumbed to the insanity of existing without the love of a mate.

Quickly washing up, he pushed aside the illusion of ever finding his mate. For him they didn’t exist, because if they had why had fate seen it fit to have him live for so long without one?

Fifteen minutes later he sat before Benedict, getting his next assignment.

“You’re sending me where again?” Klaus glared at Benedict. He must have misheard what the man had said.

“I need you to go and interrogate this witch my son has taken in.” Benedict shook his head. “That boy is always taking in strays, but at least this one might have information on Asher’s whereabouts.”

Klaus kicked his feet up onto Benedict’s shiny desk. He saw the man bristle from his boldness. He had to bite back his smile. Let the man get upset. Klaus was older and had the full respect of the council even if technically he worked in the same sector as Benedict. Which kind of made the man his boss.

“I must ask again, what’s this hard-on you have for finding Asher?” Klaus cocked an eyebrow at Benedict. “If you ask me, it all seems rather odd to be wasting the council’s time on a vampire who has been missing for centuries. Who may very well be dead.”

“He’s not dead!” Benedict shouted as he slammed his hand down on his desk, splintering the wood surface.

Well now they were getting somewhere. Klaus always had his suspicions where the two men were concerned, and Benedict’s behavior just kept fueling that particular fire. He dropped his feet to the floor and leaned forward on his elbows. “How do you know? Did you gaze into your crystal ball or some shit?” he taunted the man.

Benedict fidgeted with the papers on his desk, avoiding eye contact with Klaus. “I just know, and let’s leave it at that.” He watched the mask of calm collectiveness slam back into place. “Like I stated earlier, I’m sending you to a town called Branson, Missouri. That is where my son has currently taken up residency, and you’re the one going because you’re the only witch I trust around my son.”

“Well jeez, thanks.” He snatched the papers out of Benedict’s outreached hand and thumbed through the report as Benedict carried on.

“It seems my son’s mate has befriended this witch that was being held prisoner with him. The man was held under Malcolm and Lucian’s care for over a hundred years. We will be lucky if he doesn’t go insane. If it turns out that he is damaged, I don’t want him around my son and his mate.”

Klaus glanced up from his papers. “Does this witch have a name?”

“It’s not in the report?” Benedict clicked away on his keyboard, searching through his computer. “Oh here it is. His name is Astrid.”

“Astrid?” he asked in disbelief. “Are you sure it’s a man?” He chuckled. Who would give a boy such a feminine name? With a name like that the poor guy should be allowed to go a little crazy every now and again.

“From what my son has told me, this man Astrid was sold when he was thirteen years of age to Malcolm. He has no knowledge of where he comes from. He only spoke of a mother.” Benedict tapped his fingers on the desk top. “Pretty heartless if you ask me. God only knows what Malcolm did to the poor man. And in my book it’s better to be safe than sorry. So if this Astrid is going to lose it I’d rather him do it here at council headquarters where we can control the damage.”

Klaus studied the man. He brought up valid points, but there was more to it. The hairs on the back of his neck rose in suspicion. “So let me get this straight, you want me to go and question this guy for information on a witch he may not even know?” He arched an eyebrow.

Benedict looked up from his computer. “It’s not just about getting information on Asher, but for the safety of my boy and the other warriors in the house with this Astrid.”

Adult Excerpt

Without a second thought, Klaus fisted his hand in Astrid shirt and rolled until he lay on top of him. Astrid gasped in surprise, and he grinned down at his angel. The yearning that crossed Astrid’s face was all the go-ahead he needed.

Klaus covered Astrid’s lips with his own. He sipped from Astrid’s heavenly entrance. His tongue came out to lick at the seam of Astrid’s lips. The need to plunder the velvety, moist mouth had his body humming to claim what was rightfully his.

His teased Astrid’s lips apart and coaxed Astrid’s tongue into playing with his. Astrid timidly sucked his tongue farther into his mouth, and white hot pleasure raced through Klaus’s body from the top of his head down to his toes.

The need to breathe had him pulling away from Astrid. Klaus rested his forehead against Astrid as he tried to focus. He took deep breaths, trying to calm his racing heart.

Slow. He needed to go slow.

“Okay, angel, I’ll give you what you want.” He placed a finger against Astrid’s lips when he started to speak. “But at my pace. I want to take things slow with you.”

“You’re just making excuses.” Astrid pushed at his chest. “You don’t want me.”

Klaus grabbed Astrid’s hand and placed it over the rock-solid erection he sported behind his zipper. Astrid’s eyes widened in shock.

“Does it feel like I don’t want you?” He moaned as Astrid gave an experimental squeeze to his length. “I want you more than the next breath I take, but we need to take one thing at a time. We have all the time in the world. There’s no need to rush it.”

Astrid continued to stroke Klaus’s cock through his pants. Astrid knew what he wanted, and he was taking control of the situation. Klaus could get used to this side of his angel.

The need to come had Klaus pulling Astrid’s hands up to the sides of his head. He smiled down at his mate as he wiggled beneath him.

“Keep your hands right here.” He tightened his hold on his mate’s small, fragile wrist to emphasize his request. Astrid gave him a jerky nod.

Klaus held his angel’s gaze as he slowly trailed his fingers down Astrid’s clothed body. He would have liked for his mate to be wearing nothing at all. The need to feel soft, smooth skin had Klaus yanking Astrid’s shirt up to his chin. He left the shirt there and went for Astrid’s zipper. The prize lying inside was what he truly wanted at the moment. Klaus wanted to taste Astrid and get drunk on his liquid magic.

He popped the button on Astrid’s pants and peeled back the sides. The head of Astrid’s cock peeked out of the top of his briefs. Klaus reached up and used both hands to pull down the sturdy denim. Astrid raised his hips off the bed to help him.

“God you’re beautiful,” Klaus said as he got his first glimpse of Astrid’s naked body. Astrid had pale skin from head to toe with lightly tanned nipples that harden from his touch. He worked his way down to the heavy cock resting against Astrid’s stomach. The head peeked out of the foreskin showcasing a drop of pre-cum at the tip. God how he loved his men uncut.

Not giving Astrid a chance to decide if he wanted Klaus’s mouth on him or not, he leaned forward and swallowed his mate down until his nose met the thatch of golden hair surrounding the base. Astrid grunted and thrust his hips into Klaus’s face as he moved up the length. He rolled down the thin tissue and tongued every ridged contour. He hummed around the head as he brought his other hand up to gently massage Astrid’s balls and pull on the soft orbs lightly. With mouth on cock, one hand jacking the length, and one hand fondling his man’s bits, he very quickly pushed Astrid over the edge.

Astrid threw his head back and screamed as hot cum shot down his throat. Klaus ran his eyes up the length of Astrid’s body as he came undone. The tendons of Astrid’s neck bulged as he succumbed to the love Klaus showed him.

Klaus sucked his mates throbbing length until he milked all the cream his mate had to give. The taste of pure bliss erupted on his tongue. He released Astrid’s softening shaft from his lips and sat up, straddling Astrid’s legs. Klaus growled in frustration when he couldn’t get his pants undone quickly enough. The intoxicating, sweet taste of Astrid on his tongue drove him to insanity.

He breathed a sigh of relief as he finally worked his prick free from his pants. Klaus looked up to his mate when he heard Astrid’s sharp inhale. This was the first time his mate had seen his naked shaft. His size had intimidated many men but not his Astrid. Astrid licked his lips as he ogled his hard cock.

The sight of his angel’s pink tongue running across his lips had Klaus gripping his length tightly in his fist. He pumped his hand hard and fast. His orgasm played just out of reach. Astrid started to move his hands away from his head, and Klaus grunted for him to hold still. Astrid let his hands fall back to his sides as he looked down his body as Klaus masturbated over him.

The hungry look in his mate’s eyes wreaked havoc on his nerves. Astrid rocked his hips up and grazed his semierect cock against Klaus’s crease. A whimper left his mouth as warm cum spit forth from his body. He hovered over Astrid’s and painted his chest with his seed.

“Mine,” he declared as the last bit of cum left his body.

Fate's Fortunate Mistake Giveaway!

Finally Fate's Fortunate Mistake is complete and releasing tomorrow March 31. I feel like edits on this book went on forever. Now to be fair I was going through edits on Miles's Awakening and writing a free read for Good Reads at the same time. I'm not complaining though because I love to write.

Fate's Fortunate Mistake revolves around Marc's, from Fate's Second Chance, sister Serena. Her story is about what happens when your life is leading you and not the other way around. Over worked and always putting others first is what Serena is all about. Then Fate sneaks up to help her find her happiness.

I had a lot of fun writing Serena's story and I hope others will enjoy it too! It is the second in the Twists of Fate series but it could be read as a standalone. Now with any books within a series its good to read the first so you have the full knowledge of what is going on but Fate's Fortunate Mistake is completely about Serena and the changes in her life.

In honor of Fate's Fortunate Mistake release I'm going to give a copy away. All you have to do is leave a comment with a valid email address so I can contact you. I promise to not use your email for evil purposes. LOL! It will be a pdf formatted ebook. Contest will run from today Friday March 30 until Monday April 2. I will randomly pick a winner on Tuesday morning that is April 3.

Blurb

Serena thought falling for a gay man was tragic until she accidently dies. Saved by an angel and sent back to live as a man, Seth now has to decide if this new chance at happiness outweighs the simplicity of his old life.

Serena has treated herself to a much needed vacation cruise. While on board she meets the man of her dreams. What was supposed to be the beginnings of love are dashed away when she learns the sweet, young Rylee is gay.

When an attempt to drown her sorrows goes awry, she wakes up to her brother’s annoying guardian angel, Ross, who informs her she has gone missing, and in order to keep her alive, her soul was placed into the first available body.

Serena, now Seth, is adapting to her new life as a man. But all that changes when he runs into Rylee again. A chance at love has Seth rethinking his life and how he chooses to live it. Time is running out and a choice must be made. One question remains: is Seth willing to gamble on love?

Out of His League Part 8

“Lance.”

Lance could hear Aaron calling his name but couldn’t take his eyes off Kip. The man was in the bullpen behind right field practicing with the others. He loved watching his guy throw a ball.

“Hey!” Aaron shouted.

Lance let out a grunt when a soft heavy object hit him in the back. He turned around, looked down and saw Aaron’s glove siting in the dirt. “What the hell man?”

“I’ve been saying your name for like five minutes but you’re too far gone in la-la land to even fucking notice.”

“I have no clue what you’re talking about,” Lance said as he turned back around to watch Kip.

“Oh my god.” Aaron gasped. “Love is in the air.”

A goofy smiled spread across Lance’s face. He couldn’t deny it. He was in love with Kip. Hell he’d been in love with the man since he first laid eyes on him. And after the weekend they’d shared it  clarified that fact.

Sunday morning he woke up with Kip draped across his body like a quilt. Kip put off so much heat Lance had a fine layer of sweat covering his body. But it didn’t matter. He could have been sweating buckets and he still wouldn’t have woken his lover. A part of him still thought it was all a dream. Kip Edgerton was going places and he, well he was just an average ball player living out his boy hood fantasy. Lance never really cared it he went pro but Kip would eventually get noticed and odds were he’d leave Clausen State far behind him and with it Lance.

His smiled faded just a pinch as he turned back to his best friend. “Stop being so dramatic. We spent one weekend together that doesn’t constitute a relationship.” Lance spoke like it didn’t bother him but he was dying to know if Kip felt the same way. That what they had was real. Kip said he cared about Lance but did the shine fade when he drove off Sunday night?

“Oh really?” Aaron crossed his arms across his chest as he stared just beyond Lance left shoulder. “Then why is Kip over there eyeballing you like you’re a tasty treat.”

Lance spun around to see Kip in the bullpen leaning against the gate looking back at him. He grinned and waved to Kip.

“Dude, you’ve spent the entire practice checking out your boyfriend. Your lucky Coach Allen didn’t make you run laps or some shit.” Aaron started to laugh. “I thought for sure he was going to have your ass when that ground ball when right between your legs. Shit, Kip even laughed at you.”

“Kinsley!”

The sound of the assistant coach to the Gray Wolves caught his attention. He turned around to see Coach Wilkerson walking his way. Lance looked over to Aaron, who only shrugged as the man approached. Coach Wilkerson never addressed him before, so he was a little taken by surprise. He typically spent the majority of his time working with the outfielders. And since Lance played short stop he had no clue what Wilkerson wanted.

“Kinsley if you got time why don’t you come over and help me out,” Coach Wilkerson said to him. “I’m running some drills with Robbie and Kevin and I need someone to catch the balls as they throw them in. You cool with that?”

“Sure, I guess I can help you.” Lance glanced over to Aaron. “I’ll catch you later.”

He said goodbye to his friend and followed Coach Wilkerson out toward left field. Robbie and Kevin were already out there waiting for them. Kevin was a center fielder where Robbie was a left fielder. They were only sophomores but had a lot of potential no wonder Wilkerson was working with them so much.

“Kevin, Robbie!” Coach Wilkerson hollered out to them. “Lance is going to help me out for a little bit.” Wilkerson walked up to the machine that threw the balls into the air and swiveled it around to make sure it was ready to go. Wherever he would potion the machine a ball would pop out and the two outfielders would have to chase it down. Lance still didn’t know why Coach Wilkerson wanted him.

The first ball popped out of the machine and sailed out toward Robbie. He ran up to it, caught it then threw the ball to Lance. They went on for another ten minutes before Wilkerson spoke to him.

“So I see you’ve gotten cozy with Kip.”

Lance’s mouth dropped open as he looked at his coach. How did he know?

Just then the ball Kevin had thrown smacked against his arm. He cursed under his breath as he rubbed the sore spot. “What are you talking about?” His voice sounded shaky to his own ears.

“Oh come on Lance, I’m not blind.” He waved to the fielders and told them to run four laps then to hit the showers. Lance stood frozen to his spot. Once Wilkerson had the guys off doing other things he turned to Lance. “So have you fucked him yet?”

Lance started to choke. The spit he has swallowed went down the wrong pipe at Wilkerson’s harsh words.

“I take that as a yes.” Wilkerson eyed him from head to toe causing him to squirm from the weight of the stare. “I’m a little surprised Kipper chose to replace me with you.” He barked out a laugh. “He’ll get bored and come back  to me. He always does. So if I were you I wouldn’t get too attached.”

Lance slowly turned and looked toward the bullpen. Kip stood there glaring back but not at him. No, at Coach Wilkerson. Slowly turning back around he looked at Wilkerson and the satisfied smile on his face said all he needed to no.

He dropped the ball at Coach Wilkerson’s feet and took off toward the locker room. He needed time to digest what he just learned.
