Today's Guest: Danica Avet

Tour long Giveaway: $25 gift card (Amazon, B&N or ARe) and set of 2 ‘Grande Terre’ ebooks
Dates: 12/16 thru 12/19

Blurb:

Logan Guillory finally has what she’s always wanted, a loving, sizzling relationship with J.B. Calhoun. So why can’t she shake her overwhelming need for his twin brother Anthony? Her small town morals tell her it’s not normal to love two men with equal fervor, but not even the risk of damaging her standing in Grand Terre, Louisiana can make her stop wanting to be possessed by them both.
Anthony ‘Ant’ Calhoun had his eye on Logan long before his brother entered the picture, but now he’s lost his chance, or so he thinks. J.B. has other ideas, which includes sharing Logan’s sensual caresses and big heart with his brother. Torn between overwhelming need and fear of the scandal that might ensue, Ant resists with all his might, but doesn’t stand a chance against the needs of the two people he loves most.
Giving in threatens everything they all hold dear, but who can resist the sweetest taste of sin?
Note: Contains scenes of one woman being properly seduced and thoroughly enjoying it by not one, but two men who happen to be twins. Very sexy, hot twins.

Bio:
Danica Avet was born and raised in the wilds of South Louisiana (that would be somewhere around Houma) where mosquitoes are big enough to carry off small children and there are only two seasons: hot and hotter. With a BA in History, she figured there were enough fry cooks in the world and decided to try her hand at writing.

Danica is the lucky pet of a compulsively needy dog and two cats. The pitter-patter of little feet has been known to make her break out into a cold sweat.

Writing is how she gives the voices in her head a way out. When she isn’t writing, working or contemplating the complexities of the universe, she spends time gathering inspiration from her insane family, reads far more than any sane person would want to, and watches hot burly men chase an oblong ball all over a field.

Lolita:
Glad you asked what's on it instead of in it! LOL. Um…an alarm clock and a lamp. The husband prefers an extremely minimalist bedroom so that's it. Oh, and if it's the middle of the night my glasses. I'm blind as a bat without them so they're always close at hand.

Grabbed, Book Three
To escape her father's debt to a loan shark, Dizzy seeks refuge in the upcoming Grab. She’d rather belong to one of those terrifying sky warriors from the battleship Valiant than to the sleazy criminal who wants her as his plaything.

The years of constant war haven’t been kind to highly decorated sniper Venom. Only the promise of earning a wife kept him going through deadly battles. Catching and collaring Dizzy fills him with incredible hope. Finally he has a woman of his own, a mate to love—and bind and adorn with his ropes.

After a brazen Splinter attack, the Shadow Force uncovers secrets about Dizzy’s late mother that entangle her in a web of deceit. To save Venom, her father and an operative named Terror, Dizzy digs deep and risks it all.

Venom refuses to stand idly by while Dizzy’s haunted past threatens the future they’re trying to build. He finally has a reason for living—and he’s not giving her up.

Cynthia:

I have one of those huge flesh-colored push button phones from the seventies. It is older than I am. A company I was working for was clearing out its basement, they found a zillion of these phones, and they were throwing them away. My phone had broken the day before the clear out and I didn’t have the money to replace it. The plan was to buy a new one when it finally broke but I think this phone will outlive me. Seriously. It should come with the advice “In case of nuclear war, stand under this phone.” The ringer can be heard from space.

Bio:
Cynthia Sax lives in a world where demons aren’t all bad, angels aren’t all good, and magic happens every single day. Although her heroes may not always say, “I love you”, they will do anything for the women they love. They live passionately. They fight fiercely. They love the same women forever.

Cynthia has loved the same wonderful man forever. Her supportive hubby offers himself up to the joys and pains of research, while they travel the world together, meeting fascinating people and finding inspiration in exotic places such as Istanbul, Bali, and Chicago.

A.M. Griffin:

Crap. That’s the best way to describe it. I have mail that I’m supposed to be tending to, contracts for birthday presents, Christmas presents, sleepovers and future pets that my daughter has made me sign and gave me copies of (yes, I have a budding lawyer), postage stamps, a lamp and my laptop. Now, the question of what is in my nightstand would be a more interesting one…

Bio:

A. M. Griffin is a wife who rarely cooks, mother of three, dog owner (and sometimes dog owned), a daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She's a hard worker whose two favorite outlets are reading and writing. She enjoys reading everything from mystery novels to historical romances and of course fantasy romance. She is a believer in the unbelievable, open to all possibilities from mermaids in our oceans and seas, angels in the skies and intelligent life forms in distant galaxies.

Loving Dangerously, Book Three
Jess hates aliens. After the invasion that destroyed Earth, the extraterrestrial bastards sold her to a brothel as a sex slave. She may have escaped but the old memories and fears still linger in the dark corners of her mind. Supposedly Sonis is just the place for her—somewhere safe, where she can heal and start fresh. She’s almost hopeful…until she meets Rasha, her new boss.
Rasha, captain of the Sonis Royal Guard, is a warrior through and through. He’s huge, sinfully sexy and could have any woman on Sonis—but the woman he wants is Jess. He’s very much an alien and Jess knows she should hate him or at least be wary, but whenever he’s around, she loses control. She tells herself it’s only sex—amazing, mind-blowing sex like nothing else she’s ever experienced—but there’s something about Rasha that shakes her soul. The feel of his skin against hers, the look in his eyes as he touches her—they make her want to believe it’s possible to find love and begin again.

Cara:
A lamp, the telephone, a box of tissues, a glass of water, my Kindle and ear plugs. My husband snores. I’m not one to decorate my nightstand with a lot of frilly frou-frou because I need the space for functional items. Same thing with my desk.

Today's Guest: Elizabeth Inglee Richards

Elizabeth Inglee Richards is today's guest and she is promoting her current release. We have an author interview with some fun questions and an excerpt from Accrocher Ses Patins (Hang'em Up). There is a tour long giveaway: 3 copies of the book and 3 hokey charm bracelets.
Tour runs from November 11, 2013- November 30, 2013.

What book are you currently reading? Right now I am reading three books

The Abominable by Dan Simmons I picked it up because it was supposed to be about the Yeti, I’m more than two thirds of the way through and still haven’t seen a Yeti.  But it is the first book I have ever read with a Unitarian hero and since I was raised Unitarian I feel like I have to stick it out until the end even if the Yeti never shows up.

Fire and Ash by Jonathan Maberry  This is the fourth book in the Benny Imura series.  This is a YA zombie book and is one of my favorite zombie series in a long time.  The author was local to me until recently and I have loved his work since a friend introduced me to his work (and to the author as well)

Crossing the Line by Derrick Sanderson (and a writer) Derrick Sanderson was one of the Boston Bruins in the 70’s during and after his playing years he struggled with alcohol and drugs this book chronicles his highs and lows and his recovery after hitting rock bottom.  It is nice to go into a book knowing it will have a happy ending.

Right now, what items are on your desk that you’d be embarrassed to admit to? I have both a water color painting of Captain America’s side kick Bucky and a teddy bear celebrating the Boston Bruins Stanley cup win in 2011.  The painting is by Kate Crenshaw, who is one of my favorite fan artists/illustrators.  The teddy bear is just a teddy bear.

Do you listen to music when you write? If so, what type(s) do you lean towards? I do listen to music when I write; right now I have been listening to quite a bit of “Celtic Punk” a lot of Dropkick Murphys and Black 47.  Sometimes I will listen to sports radio.  It kind of depends on what I am writing and where I am in the writing process.  Right now I am listening to a football game.

Who are some of your favorite authors? Some of my favorite authors are Charles deLint, Jonathan Mayberry and Holly Black.  Two authors that I still love from earlier in my life are Marry Shelly and Tove Jansson

Blurb:
In the nineteen twenty’s the world of Ice Hockey was changing forever, spreading south into the US markets. Two young lovers from New Brunswick were preparing to get married when the young man is offered his dream job as a goalie for a team based in Halifax. The couple has no idea what changes they are going to have to make for the team that doesn’t just wear the Hyena, they become the hyena quite literally.

Excerpt

“We should walk and let the men discuss business. I have been told that there is a lovely path to the water from here; we could walk on the beach.”

I didn’t feel as though it was my place to tell her that a walk along the beach in the winter was not all that pleasant. Not much was lovely in the winter. I stood and went with her; if this was what Jennot wanted, I would not ruin it for him. Marie and I walked a ways in the cold before she said anything.

“Your stitches,” she said, “so neat and tidy on the other men, but noton Jean-Mark?”

“He will not let me take my time with him,” I said with a laugh, “He wants to pretend nothing hurts him.”

She nodded as if what I said was important, “Where did you learn to stitch?”

“My father is a sail maker. I can stitch anything,” I told her. It was a source of pride for me.

“Good,” she said. She fell quiet for a few moments, and then she told me, “We can use that. The team takes care of its own. Jean-Mark will be paid and given a job for the off-season; you will be given a home in Halifax. And we will find you a home for the summer. It will be safer than this,” she said with a sweeping gesture to the sea, “My father was taken by the sea,” she added in a quiet voice.

“Jennot’s was as well,” I told her.

“Do you love him, or is he just the closest boy?” she asked me quickly. She had turned and was looking at me fiercely.
